Pilot 2

We are requesting that local community organisations contact us to request a simple piece of furniture that would make their live’s easier. This could be a set of storage shelves, a coffee table, a desk, or something else that we havent imagined!

Material costs are often prohibitive to community organisations and there is often no budget for the labour costs that construction project entail. Funding from London Array has allowed us to addresses this problem by providing the material and the labour free of charge to the organisations.

The material has again been donated to us by @turnercontemporary. In 2023 and 2024, we recovered 2.66 tonnes of construction material from their exhibitions; Sonia Boyce, Beyond Form and Anya Gallaccio.

The materials we will be using in this pilot will be primarily be 3”x1” planed softwood, some 3”x2” planed softwood and primed 12mm MRMDF.
